Dominik meets Sylwia, a suicidal girl who cuts herself and wears a mask, in an online chat group called \"Sala Samobójców\" (The Suicide Room). Dominik begins skipping school to spend time online. When Dominik sees an online video showing shadow puppets named after him and Aleksander engaging in homosexual acts, he rampages through his room. Sylwia mocks his pain and encourages him to scare normal people. Dominik adopts an alternative look and takes his father's gun to school. When Aleksander approaches him with some friends after school, Dominik begins to take out his gun, but flees to his taxi.

Dominik discovers that Sylwia is a shut-in who has not left her room in three years. Dominik stays locked in his room, talking with Sylwia. These events go unnoticed by his parents. Eventually, the family's housekeeper calls the police, who break down Dominik's door to find him sitting in a pool of blood beside a broken mirror. He is sent to a hospital and kept in a psychiatric ward for three days. His parents arrive to take him home, claiming that there is nothing wrong with him and that he should be studying for exams.

Later, at The Suicide Room, Sylwia talks about Dominik's long absence before seeing his avatar, only to learn that it's his mother, who announces that Dominik has died. It is revealed that Dominik never left the bathroom after taking the pills, and his overdose was filmed by the drunk couple. Dominik attempted to reverse his decision but to no avail. His death is posted online on The Suicide Room wall.

Dominik is an ordinary boy. He's got loads of friends, the hottest girl in school, rich parents and money to spend on brand-name clothes. But one innocent kiss with a mate changes everything. He begins to isolate himself from the outside world, spending all his time on his computer. He meets an anonymous girl who introduces him to the \"suicide room\", a place from which there is no escape. Caught in a trap woven of his own emotions, Dominik becomes entangled in a web of intrigue and gradually loses what he cherishes most.

Last week, Tyler Clementi, a freshman at Rutgers University, jumped off the George Washington Bridge after a video showing him in an intimate encounter was surreptitiously posted on the Internet. His roommate and another student have been charged with invasion of privacy. Last spring, six high school students in Massachusetts were charged with bullying-related crimes, including violation of civil rights, after the target of the taunting, a 15-year-old classmate, killed herself.

The story takes place after Dominik's suicide. He enters into a ghost like state and wonders what happened. He is forced to contemplate his actions and sees the after effects of them. After he if forced to look at the people from his life, he is sent to purgatory, where he meets the angle of Death. Then, since suicide is a mortal sin, he is sent to hell. Where he stumbles across a portal that leads to a place meant for angels and demons where morality does not exist. After going to this portal, he goes on a quest to attempt to get into heaven. Find out whether is attempt his vain or not.

October 10, 2017 - When someone is actively suicidal, we often tell them to call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, call 911, or go to the local Emergency Room. These are all correct responses, but they are also scary, big steps for someone in a mental health crisis to take. I am going to try to demystify what happens at the emergency room when you go there for suicidal thoughts and planning by sharing my own experiences.

Guidelines for other facilities, including emergency departments and general acute inpatient units, follow similar principles to reduce patient suicide, adjusted for differences in how and where care is delivered.

THE GUIDELINESThe Joint Commission, the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Facilities Guidelines Institute offer recommendations for the design of settings to minimize the risk of patient suicide.

It's National Poetry Month, and to celebrate, I'm sharing a poem each day. Today's is a sad one, though I think it's incredibly beautiful. In the past several months, Redding has seen three suicides, the most recent of which occurred yesterday. I can't help but wonder why. Is it the desperation felt after losing one's job There have been massive layoffs recently at many large companies. Is it sheer loneliness If so, what can we do as a community to mitigate the problem In such a small town, it's hard to imagine why anyone should feel so alone, or, if the root cause is mental illness, why are people afraid to seek help Mental Illness shouldn't be a source of shame. The more we can talk about these difficult subjects, the closer we come to a resolution.

Conclusion: It is uncertain whether the positive attitudes of emergency nurses toward suicide and/or educational interventions could impact the outcomes of these interventions. Further studies are needed to address these important questions in this field.

Ma is twenty-seven. We never learn her real name, and Jack only calls her Ma. Kidnapped by Old Nick when she was nineteen, Ma spends eight years inside Room. She has two children while in Room: the first, a daughter, who is stillborn, and then Jack, who is five when Ma formulates a plan for them to escape. With Jack's help, they get away from Old Nick and back into the real world. Ma has a difficult time adjusting. Her parents have divorced. Her friends have mostly moved away. The media constantly hound her. After a failed suicide attempt, Ma recuperates, and she eventually moves into an apartment of her own with Jack.

A third of Hospital Psychiatric Emergency assessments were for suicide attempt or suicide ideation. Emergency Psychiatrists assessed 262 patients with suicide attempt, 91 male and 171 female, mean age was 31 years. 7,25% of the parasuicide patients treated in the Emergency Room were hospitalized, 63,15% of them with history of psychotic symptoms. 8,33% consumed alcohol or cocaine before the suicide attempt.

The parasuicide attempts are more frequent in young women. Suicide attempt is nearly twice more frequent in women than men. The most important variable to decide admission in a psychiatric ward was found to be a previous history of psychosis.

Among the hospitals surveyed, patients in the ED as a result of self-harm were often (79 percent) given a list of professionals or agencies to contact in a crisis, and just over half (52 percent) of patients received education about recognizing the warning signs of suicide.
